Bhatti acquitted of terrorism, convicted on other charges
June 5, 2008Norway's first terrorism trial ended Tuesday with the acquittal of Arfan Qadeer Bhatti, who was charged with firing shots at a Jewish synagogue in Oslo and planning embassy attacks. Bhatti's alleged accomplices were also acquitted, but Bhatti was convicted for other shootings and for attempted murder.
Technical trouble plagues Nordic stock exchanges
June 5, 2008Trading wasn't expected to open on the Oslo Stock Exchange until noon at the latest on Tuesday, because of ongoing technical problems with its trading system, which is run from Stockholm. Then the delay was extended to 1:30pm, and later extended again.
